Marjorie is in charge of The SCP Group, an investment firm focused on scalable asset-heavy opportunities in Western markets.
Since 2009, Marjorie has overseen, first in her capacity of Managing Partner of Apex Capital Partners (an independent Russia-focused investment platform) and in her current role the investments of institutional Russian and Western investors in Russia and abroad including the management of Arista SICAV-SIF, a Luxembourg regulated Real Estate Fund fully invested in Moscow commercial real estate. She was instrumental in the scaling up of SCP’s High Street Portfolio and its successful exit as well as the establishment of XandBricks a German real estate owner and operator aggregating food anchored retail.
She was previously responsible for the USD 1.5bn portfolio of Sistema’s listed property company, Sistema-Hals (2007-2009), overseeing investment, divestment, development and strategic asset management issues. During her time in Russia she gained access to the institutional capital that now acts as anchor for SCP’s new strategies.
Prior to that, Ms. Brabet-Friel worked for M&A US law firm Skadden in New York and Paris.
She is a graduate of Harvard Law School and also holds a master degree from Pantheon-Sorbonne (Paris). Ms. Brabet-Friel is admitted to practice law in New York and Paris.
