Steve Galiotos has invested capital on behalf of institutional investors and himself for the past 29 years with primary responsibility for the acquisition of over $4 billion in real estate assets. Mr. Galiotos currently is President of Argowood Real Estate, a private investment holding company established by Mr. Galiotos in 2007.
Mr. Galiotos served as President and CEO of DTH Capital from 2013 to 2016. Mr. Galiotos was responsible for establishing a real estate management platform in the United States on behalf of international investors and converting over $1.5 billion of historic office properties into residential apartments in New York City.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Galiotos co-founded Och-Ziff Real Estate. As Co-Founder and Managing Member of the firm, Mr. Galiotos was responsible for raising the firm’s first real estate private equity fund and for the overall management of the fund. Mr. Galiotos sold his interest in Och-Ziff Real Estate in 2007 in connection with the IPO of Och-Ziff Capital Management.
Prior to co-founding Och-Ziff Real Estate, Mr. Galiotos served as a Managing Director at the Blackstone Group where he assisted in formulating the investment strategy for the firm’s real estate activities in the retail, multifamily and senior housing sectors as well as in sourcing, negotiating and financing numerous office buildings.
Prior to his tenure at Blackstone, Mr. Galiotos spent six years at JMB Realty Corporation and Heitman Financial, following its merger with JMB.
Mr. Galiotos received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he also received the Horace Carpenter Award.
